Rotate PDF
Turn the pages of a PDF and save them that way. Rotate the whole document, or only the pages that came out sideways.

How to rotate a PDF
- Tap Choose a PDF.
- Choose the direction: right, left or upside down.
- To turn only some pages, type their numbers. Leave the box empty for every page.
- Press Rotate PDF, then Save PDF.
Which way do I turn it?
Look at the page as it appears now and ask where its top should go.

If you pick the wrong one, turn the result again. Two rights make an upside down, and a right followed by a left brings the page back to where it started.
Why PDFs end up sideways
- Scanners. A sheet fed in sideways, or a landscape page in a stack of portrait ones.
- Phone photos. A document photographed with the phone flat, where the phone guessed the direction wrong.
- Mixed documents. A wide table or chart placed sideways in a portrait report so it fits on paper.
- Viewers. A PDF that looked right because your viewer remembered a temporary rotation, and looks wrong for everyone you send it to.
That last one is the usual surprise. Turning a page with the rotate button in a PDF viewer changes only what you see. This tool writes the new direction into the file, so it opens the right way up everywhere.
What rotating does to the file
A PDF page carries a small note that says which way up to show it. Rotating changes that note and nothing else. The text, pictures and layout are not touched or redrawn, which is why there is no loss in quality, the file size barely changes, and a page turned back again is identical to the original.
Text stays selectable and searchable in the new direction. Bookmarks, links and form fields are kept.
Turning a single wide page
For a landscape table inside a portrait report, type just that page number. The rest of the document is left alone, and readers no longer have to turn their head or their screen.
To change the order of pages as well, use reorder PDF pages. To drop the bad ones, use remove PDF pages.
Questions
How do I rotate a PDF and save it permanently?
Choose the file, pick a direction and press Rotate PDF. The saved file opens in the new direction in every viewer.
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Type its number in the Pages to turn box. Only that page changes.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Only the page's direction setting changes. Nothing is redrawn.
Can I rotate by an angle other than 90 degrees?
No. Pages turn in quarter turns. Straightening a slightly crooked scan needs an image editor.
Why did my rotation not stick when I used a viewer?
Most viewers rotate the display only. The file itself was not changed until a tool like this one saved the new direction.
