Results are not guaranteed

The converters are provided as they are. Whether a file converts, and how the result looks or sounds, depends on the file, your browser, your device's memory and the codecs it supports. Keep your original until you have checked the result.

When a video or sound track can be copied into the new format, nothing is re-encoded. When it has to be re-encoded, some change in quality is unavoidable. Each converter says which applies before you start.

Figures are for general use

Unit conversions use the exact published definitions, and time zone conversions use the time zone data built into your browser. Even so, check anything that matters, such as medicine doses, engineering measurements, legal deadlines or travel connections, against an authoritative source.

Limits of other apps change

Where a guide or tool quotes a size, length or format limit for an app such as Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube or TikTok, the figure is given in good faith with the date it was last reviewed (October 2026). Those companies change their limits without notice. Confirm anything important in the app itself.
